BECOME A LEGEND

ARE YOU A FORMER TRENT RL PLAYER?

If so, you are eligible to become a bona fide Trent RL Legend.

Throughout the years there are also club members who - for whatever reason - never competed on the field, but provided invaluable support in the form of coaching, organisation or committee roles. These individuals are also worthy of legendary status.

However, as I'm sure you will remember, there are always random hangers-on who float about the club without ever actually stepping on to the field and competing in the Greatest Game, or contributing to the club in any positive fashion.

Therefore, as a measure of quality control, each applicant will be required to provide a referee who can vouch for your claim to legendary status. As a piece of advice, choose a well known and popular player who will definitely be able to corroborate your claims.

WHAT DO I RECEIVE WHEN I BECOME A LEGEND?

Each Trent RL Legend will receive their Legends jersey, adorned with their name and their unique Legends number. Legends numbers are awarded in chronological order, based on each applicant's years representing the club. Legends who represented the club in its inaugural season in the 1980s will therefore be awarded the lowest numbers. Legends from the same year will be awarded numbers in accordance with the date that we receive their completed registration and payment.

Therefore, in order to guarantee yourself the lowest number possible, please complete the form below and return it along with payment asap ahead of the deadline on August 13th 2010.

If you miss the August 13th deadline, you will have to wait for the next batch of orders to be processed next year.

In addition, Trent RL Legends will receive invitations to the annual Trent RL v Legends match, as well as a calendar of other events such as Tag tournaments, Masters matches, and other excuses for meeting up, reminiscing and going out on the lash. Events will be publicised on the Trent RL Legends Facebook page.

WHAT DO MY MEMBERSHIP FEES GO TOWARDS?

True Trent RL Legends will need no reminder of the wonders of the Greatest Game, and the benefits that you enjoyed through being a part of Trent Rugby League. Your membership fees will help to enhance and provide greater playing opportunities for current Trent students as well as alumni.

The annual Trent RL Legends membership fee will help to support

a) the development of Rugby League at Nottingham Trent University

and

b) the development of Rugby League in the Nottingham area

Worthy projects will be determined by the Trent Legends Committee. Examples include:

- Payment of registration fees for current Trent RL members to play for Nottingham Outlaws RL

- Covering costs of coaching and match officials courses for current Trent RL members

- Tournament entry fees for Trent RL Legends to participate in Tag, Touch & Masters competitions

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Each applicant will need to make an initial one-off payment of £45, which includes your membership fees for the year and your jersey payment.

A standing order form will also need to be completed to enable your annual membership fee of £15 to be paid on the 1st September each year.
